Two scholarships worth $5000 each will be awarded to students based on merit and a career interest in the candy/tobacco/convenience-products wholesale industry. Each scholarship is paid directly to the school for school-related costs.

To be eligible, you must be employed by an AWMA distributor, family member of an AWMA employee. You must be enrolled full time in an areas of business with an interest in a career in the candy/tobacco/convenience products wholesale distribution.

Scholarships for Women in Illinois

The Bartlett Woman's Club if offering scholarships to all high school seniors residing in Bartlett.

Applications are available at many high schools or you can contact Ruth Beckner at (630) 837-8125 for an application. Applications are due April 1.

These scholarships are valued at $1000 plus there will also be back-to-school scholarship available for a student of college-age or older.

Nursing Scholarships for Moms in Wisconsin

The River Falls Area Foundation offers scholarships for moms and the non-traditional students, who live or work in the region served by the River Falls Area Hospital Foundation. This nursing scholarship is not open to high school seniors and applicants must have at least one year of work experience post high school.

The foundation's goal is to increase the number of health care providers in the River Falls and surrounding area.

The nursing scholarships are awarded twice a year, once for spring term and once for fall, and can be worth up to $1000 per year.

To be eligible you must be accepted or enrolled in an accredited acceptable program. You must also submit an essay, as directed in application, and have and have two letters of reference.

Scholarships for Women in Communication

Have a passion for the communication field? Be it journalism, advertising, marketing, or broadcasting, the New York Women in Communications Foundation awards scholarships to incoming students, college undergraduates, and graduate students.

These scholarships for women are awarded in amounts of up to $10,000 per scholarship.

In order to qualify for these scholarships for women, you must be majoring (or for high school seniors, declaring a major) in a communications-related field including, but not limited to, advertising, broadcasting, communications, English, film, journalism, marketing, new media, or public relations. You must also have an overall GPA of 3.2 or better. Plus, you have to be a permanent residents of NY, NJ, CT, or PA.

College undergraduates and graduate students who are not permanent residents of NY, NJ, CT, or PA but who are currently enrolled in a communications program at a college/university in one of the five boroughs of New York City. Graduate students must also be members of New York Women in Communications in good standing (i.e., dues for the current year paid in full).

Scholarships are available in Minnesota for the Rochester Community and Technical College for incoming students, returning students, and graduate students.

In order to qualify, you must be accepted to RCTC PRIOR to applying for scholarships available. These scholarships available are also open to non-traditional students adult students, including single mother scholarships.
