SARANAC?LAKE?- The Women's College Scholarship Club is offering three $800 Continuing Education Scholarships to adults in the Saranac Lake Central School District (defined by its school bus routes).

These scholarships are for adults who wish to return to school after an absence of several years in order to change or enhance careers. Applicants must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. Part-time students may apply. Adults who have already begun a program are eligible to apply.

Applications, along with instructions for applying, are available at the financial aid office at North Country Community College, the financial aid office at Paul Smith's College and the Saranac Lake Free Library.

An applicant must submit the application form, a personal letter and letters of recommendation by Friday, May 14. Winners will be notified by May 21.

Scholarships for Moms in Kansas

Sedgwick County residents age 23 and older can apply for the scholarships for moms/women through the Margaret Humphrey Scholarship.

This is a one-time scholarship for up to $1000. In order to qualify for this scholarships for moms you must be age 23 or older and enrolled in at least 6 hours of undergraduate credit at a regional university or college.

Applications may be obtained through the Office of Financial Aid or by calling (316) 683-6435.

Scholarships for Women and Moms Seeking Real Estate License

If you are a woman enrolled full time in a college or university with an accredited real estate program or if you are enrolled in business, finance,
architecture, engineering, or other related field of study where you plan to pursue a career in commercial real estate then listen up. The Crew Network is offering 10 scholarships for women valued at $10,000 a piece.

In order to qualify for these scholarships for women you must be a junior or senior in good standing with a GPA of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

The Crew Network is dedicated to advancing the success of women in commercial real estate. Recipients of this Scholarship for Women will complete an internship at a commercial real estate brokerage firm during the summer following being awarded the scholarship plus recipients will participate in the Crew Network.

The Dedham's Junior Women's club in Dedham Massachusetts is accepting applications for a scholarship for women including all moms who want to continue their education.

This is a scholarship is named the Karen E. Baker Volunteer Award and will be awarded to a female Dedham resident who is an active volunteer. This $1000 award was designed to help those seeking to return to school.

Educational Grant Money for Teaching Majors

In Maryland, if you are female and plan to pursue an education in the field of education then you may be able to receive some of the grants-in-aid from the Delta Kappa Gamma International Society's Lambda Chapter. This free grant money will be awarded to a female senior or undergraduate college student from Accomack and Northampton counties.

The grant money ranges from $500 to $5000 and the four grants-in-aid are given in memory of long-time members Elizabeth Jones Newton and Elizabeth Payne Miles and the parents of Elizabeth Miles, Burylss Bruce Payne and Eva Wessels Payne.

Scholarship for Moms of North Carolina

The Ruby Ennis Maynard Scholarship for moms is now accepting applications.

The purpose of the Ruby Ennis Maynard scholarship for moms is to provide educational opportunities for the mature woman who has been out of the workforce for a period of time; who needs to upgrade her skills or education in order to succeed in her career; who needs to change careers in order to improve her earning ability.

This scholarship for moms wants to encourage women to improve their lives and the lives of their family through eduction.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be a female age 17 or older, a resident of Onslow County, North Carolina for a minimum of 6 months, be enrolled or accepted to a secondary level educational institution, financial need, absence from workforce for a period of time or need to update skills.

Preference will be given to Preference will be given those who are members of the First Presbyterian Church of Jacksonville, NC; single, separated, divorced, widowed or head-of-household where the husband is unable to work; are at least 30 years old or older.

There are Scholarships for Women over the age of 40 provided by the AARP.

This scholarship for women is available to those who want to improve their skill set, improve their education to help better support their families, and who are seeking new job skills.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be a woman age 40 or over by March 31, 2010. You must also be able to demonstrate financial need, be a US citizen, and be enrolled in an accredited school or technical program in the U.S., within 6 months of the scholarship award date.

The River Falls Area Foundation offers scholarships for moms and the non-traditional students, who live or work in the region served by the River Falls Area Hospital Foundation. This nursing scholarship is not open to high school seniors and applicants must have at least one year of work experience post high school.

The foundation's goal is to increase the number of health care providers in the River Falls and surrounding area.

The nursing scholarships are awarded twice a year, once for spring term and once for fall, and can be worth up to $1000 per year.

To be eligible you must be accepted or enrolled in an accredited acceptable program. You must also submit an essay, as directed in application, and have and have two letters of reference.

Scholarships for Women in Communication

Have a passion for the communication field? Be it journalism, advertising, marketing, or broadcasting, the New York Women in Communications Foundation awards scholarships to incoming students, college undergraduates, and graduate students.

These scholarships for women are awarded in amounts of up to $10,000 per scholarship.

In order to qualify for these scholarships for women, you must be majoring (or for high school seniors, declaring a major) in a communications-related field including, but not limited to, advertising, broadcasting, communications, English, film, journalism, marketing, new media, or public relations. You must also have an overall GPA of 3.2 or better. Plus, you have to be a permanent residents of NY, NJ, CT, or PA.

College undergraduates and graduate students who are not permanent residents of NY, NJ, CT, or PA but who are currently enrolled in a communications program at a college/university in one of the five boroughs of New York City. Graduate students must also be members of New York Women in Communications in good standing (i.e., dues for the current year paid in full).
