Scholarships for Single Parents - Governor Mike and Ginger Beebe Single Parent Scholarship

Robin Snider is the first recipient of Scholarships for Single Parents. Snider is a freshman and will be given the scholarship for the fall semester. She has three children.

She received the $1,000 scholarship donation that was issued by the Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund to the Craighead County Single Parent Scholarship Fund in honor of the Governor and Mrs. Beebe. Gov. Beebe is a graduate of Arkansas State. The money is split into two scholarships, one to be awarded in the fall and the second in the spring semester. The spring award will go through another application review. The scholarship's purpose is to provide supplemental financial assistance to those single parents with a 2.5 or better grade point average who pursue a course of instruction that will improve income earning potential. - Arkansas State University.

More and more single parent scholarships like this are being offered so many moms and dads are heading back to school to further their eduction. Times are tough, and in order to survive many are finding that by returning to college they can either finish their education, further their education, or even change careers all together.

That is why is it so important to take advantage of all scholarship opportunities because you never know when you will be the winner of one of them including the Scholarships for Moms and the Scholarships for Dads.
