Scholarship for Moms Wanting a Career in the Automotive Field

Scholarship for moms who are wanting to pursue a career in the after market automotive industry is now taking applications.

GAAS or the Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium hands out about 100 scholarships per year, each with a value of $1000.

In order to qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have graduated from high school within the past two years and be enrolled in a college-level program or a NATEF (National Automotive Technician Education Foundation) accredited automotive technical program in the US or Canada.

Priority will be given to students who plan to work for any automotive aftermarket company, sons and daughters of families employed in the automotive aftermarket, and Students planning to become technicians in automotive, collision, heavy duty or agricultural fields.

Applications may be made on-line for the 2010 scholarships starting September, 2009, and must be completed by March 31, 2010.
